Pic with Santa

We are celebrating Christmas right. :) We were able to catch dog night at the mall and all of us were able to get our picture with Santa. Merry Christmas! Hope you are enjoying the season as much as I am!

Thanksgiving

We were able to go to Warner Robins to see Grandma and Grandpa McDonnell. They were so thrilled to see Violet! She impressed them with her crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything.
Poor thing had a cold two weeks before, got better and came down with a cold again. She was also teething. She got her first tooth! It's the bottom left one.

It was a most unusual Thanksgiving for me. I wasn't into shopping at all! All I wanted to do was curl up with my laptop and play on Ancestry.com. Tracking family trees is fascinating! It is also extremely time consuming. I think to actually document each person in our tree will have to wait until Violet is in school and I have a bit more free time!

Also, we got a new car! Right before our holiday, my Explorer broke down. We've been thinking about getting a new for awhile now, and we just happened to find one we liked. I really, really, really wanted a certain shade of blue. I always buy things because of color. So I sat the negotiations out. Dawn and Greg haggled with the salesman. We ended up getting the car for 2k less! Dawn is amazing and I will take her to every car purchase from now on! :) It's a 2010. Here's a pic.

We didn't get our car until after vacation, so we ended up renting a 2013 Explorer for our trip. That thing was decked out! It was electronic everything! I loved it at first, but by the end, I didn't like not having actual buttons. So all in all, I got exactly what I wanted. I'm so blessed! And truly spoiled by the hubby, who works so hard for our family!
