Maternity Pics from 33 Weeks

It's the day before I go to the hospital to have you, my baby boy! I'm nervous, but the house is as clean as ever and everything is ready for your arrival. You've been such a good little boy and we've made it full term! I can't believe it and never thought it would happen! We went to have another round of maternity pics done yesterday. I think they will turn out well. We shall see. I have the ones from our shoot at 33 weeks. I'll upload them in this post. I really, really love one of them! It will go on a canvas in my room. The others are okay. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I didn't know it until I saw them. I still have great hopes for your newborn pics, though. You will be such a cute little man! Oh, and I did finally decide on your name last week. I pulled the trigger and painted it on the canvas in your room. I hope you love it! I'll do a separate post on the nursery soon.
Anyway, here are the maternity pics...

This is the one I'm in love with. :)

***I should probably mention that these were taken by Marcel Photography.

Ready to Go

Blake's room is ready to go and my bags are packed. I've got my pics (and documented evidence of the stretch marks little man has given me!). It's go time!

Happy Birthday to my Lovely Violet!

Violet is Two! Yay! She is now a toddler...a very opinionated, stubborn, independent, loving, curious, sweet little girl! She loves to be outside and considering who her parents are, we're not sure where that comes from! She loves cartoons and her ipad. She can work her ipad like an expert! She loves playing with baby dolls and strollers. She lives for walks in her stroller and bike rides. She still likes climbing on everything! She loves to go...anywhere! She has been sleeping through the night and often 12 hours a night since she was about 15 months or so. I'm so grateful! She is still sleeping in her crib without complaint or trying to climb out. So I'm letting a good thing rest!

Violet is an interesting mix of tomboy and miss priss. She loves shoes. If she is doing that particularly irritating cry/whine, I immediately know she is struggling to get a shoe on. She gets frustrated so easily. She also loves her purses. She throws them on her shoulder and walks all over the place collecting things. She likes to play hide and seek under blankets all the time. "Where's Violet? There she is!" is always accompanied by lots of giggles. She has recently gotten the hang of jumping and loves to do it on the mattress that is in her room. Sometimes she gets so excited, she just runs and jumps everywhere.

Violet got a kid's table and chairs for Christmas. She loves them! She plays with her mega blocks on the table, but her favorite items are the chairs. She is learning the art of being a short person. She pulls those chairs around all over the house. She helps herself to whatever is on the counter tops. She tries to reach the faucet and play in the sink. She plays with the microwave door all the time! She can reach the door knobs in my house with her chair. Fortunately, she can't actually turn them. She can at my parents' house, but not mine thankfully! She is learning to work smarter, not harder. Instead of struggling to get up on the sofa, she uses her chairs to stair step up. She's such a mess! I really do love her, mischievousness and all!

Violet loves horses! She lives to go see them! She likes to feed them with Grandpa and sit on them. She loves to cuddle with her favorite person of the day. Who that person is depends on her mood. She is full of surprises each and every day. She is also learning to talk. She uses a lot of her own words, but she is starting to repeat our words too. One of my favorites is when I say, "I love you!", she responds, "You too!" in such a cute light little voice. It's truly adorable! She blows kisses and loves to say bye bye.

I think that is all of the random thoughts I can think of to describe what my beautiful Violet is like right now. She is such an interesting little person. I learn something often while living with her. She has made me learn a lot about myself too. It's amazing how having children can change a person!

Here are some pictures from Violet's second birthday! She had a unique opportunity to go outside and play in the ice/snow that graced us with its presence the night before her birthday. It's pretty rare for Charleston and I'm glad it made Violet's birthday special. :)

Singing Happy Birthday to her to wake her up.

Loving her balloons!

Yay! Licking the beater from her cupcakes.

Mmmmm! Cupcakes!
